Importance of Holidays for Working People
Holidays for working people are somewhat similar to what they mean for students. In fact, they carry more importance to them than students. Though they are adults, they also yearn for the holidays. Why so? They do not get as many holidays as students do.
Most importantly, the holiday no matter how little it gives them a great chance to relax. More so because they work tirelessly for so many hours a day without a break. Some even work when they get home. This makes their schedule very hectic and gives them little time to rest. A holiday fills the gap for this rest.

Similarly, due to such a hectic schedule working people get less time to spend with their family. They get distanced from them. Holidays are the perfect chance to strengthen their bonds and make amends.
In other words, a working person needs holidays for the smooth functioning of life. Without holidays they will face pressure and won’t be able to be productive when they work non-stop. After all, when a person earns, they must spend it on something recreational from time to time so they also remain happy and work happily.
Thus, we see how holidays play an important role in maintaining a great balance between our work and play. We must try to make the most of the holidays and spend them wisely so we do not waste time. Essay 1: Essay about Holiday with My Family
This time, in the winters, our small family planned for a holiday in the hills of Darjeeling. This was a much-needed break for the members of this family to remain quite busy in their daily scheduled life. They remain occupied in the strictly disciplined life of either work or study. My little sister and I study in grades 8 and 4, respectively, my father is a deputy manager in his reputed company, and my mother is a working lady and also a housewife. So, you can guess how our life will be in the strict realms of schedule. Thus, this time, my father and I decided on a short trip to the hills.
We started our journey on the 1st of December, 2019. On the way, we played a variety of games. The view over the hills was quite pleasant to watch. When we were on the top of the summits, we looked down at our town, which seemed like a toy town; how small that was from the top!
We clicked pretty snaps of the places, clicked pictures of us, of the local residents there, after which we went to a famous restaurant to eat our afternoon meal. We had the most delightful dumplings and noodles, which were cooked and served to us when still on steam.
As dusk dawned on us, the jungles over the hills seemed to tell us another story of spirits and supernaturals. My sister and I were quite fantasized about this view. We preferred to keep our eyes shut till we reached our destination. It was half-past 8 when we reached the hotel where we would spend the night. The hotel staff was kind people who welcomed us with great warmth. We freshened up and went downstairs to watch their cultural program. The tribes danced to the music of one of their traditional songs, which was quite amazing for us to watch. After this, dinner was served. The dinner was quite rich and they served us in a sophisticated manner. After the tiring day, we decided to call it off and went to sleep.
The next day, we went hiking in the mountains. When we reached the peak of the mountains, it was a very delightful view. We decided to camp for the rest of the day there in the hills. The scenario and being on the lap of nature were quite peaceful and serene.
After the trip, we came down to our town and normalized our lives.
This trip had ushered a sense of great peace and calmness in my mind, which was to be instilled. The memories of the trip were to remain fresh in my mind like the fresh droplets on the leaves.
Essay 2: Essay on Holiday
Holidays have joyous feelings related to them. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love this holiday because it comes in December, which is also my birth month. There are a lot of exciting things we do during Christmas. We start making preparations for Christmas early before the month starts.
This year, my friends and I made snowmen with snow outside our houses. My dad put up all the lights in the interior and exterior of the house. It was looking really bright and pretty. My mom made a lot of food, cakes, and snacks, and ate with our family. My cousins from the US came over to spend time with us.
Our whole group of family and friends ate and talked and laughed with each other, sitting cozily near the fireplace, with the Christmas tree towering over us. I had a lot of fun. It is one of my best experiences and I hope to feel it again.

School holidays bring us joy and refinement. Those are the true moments of our living. Read the following well written essay on holiday. The essay explains the joys of school holiday for children and students.
Essay on Holiday | Best Written Essay for Students
The summer holidays, which are the longest holidays we get as students, are really special to me. I always look forward to them. I usually spend them with my family and extended family. As a reward for studying and behaving well during the holidays, my parents also allow me to go on a few outings with friends.
My First Holiday with School Friends
After I entered my 6th grade, my parents allowed me to go on school trips for the first time. In the summer break, I went on a 3-day trip to Shimla with my school. My friends all filled out vacation consent forms, but I was afraid that my parents would not agree to let me go. My friends insisted that I ask even though their answer could only be no.
As I recall, I reluctantly handed my father the consent form for the trip and started explaining the details of the trip to him. Then, he questioned whether I was old enough to go out without his supervision, even though many of my classmates were doing it.
I had to convince my mother for two days before she would let me take the trip, and she then persuaded my father to permit it. Finally, I was glad about the trip. I promised the group that I would not talk to strangers, always travel with the group, and take care of everything during the trip.
After travelling by train and bus to Kalka, we took a taxi to Shimla, and then checked in to our hotel. We visited the mall road on the first day. The weather was perfect and the place was stunning. While I had previously been to hillsides, this one had a very refreshing feeling to it.
The company of friends made it even more memorable. On our way back to the hotel we decided to stop at a restaurant on the mall road instead of eating momos as we walked down the street. It was such a treat to eat all of them that dinner was unaffordable.
We visited the Jakhu temple the next day. The road was steep, and we encountered hundreds of langoors on the way. We enjoyed the temple’s serene setting and enjoyed sitting in peace for some time. It was a little scary, but exciting at the same time. Later in the evening we visited a church and walked through the mall road again. On the way back, we decided to trek down the road, which was an awesome experience.
We went to the Tibetan market on the third day of our trip to buy some cool stuff. Our teachers let us go shopping. I purchased scarves, hair clips and a jacket for myself, as well as souvenirs for my siblings and friends. After our time in Shimla was up, we boarded the overnight bus straight to Delhi, reaching home safely.
Prior to this trip, I had been on many family trips and loved them, but the excitement and joy of going on a trip with friends is something different. My friends and I have taken many trips together since then, but I will always be inspired by my first trip with them.
Essay about holiday with Family
Most students spend their time doing homework, preparing for exams, and taking tests. In other words, studies, studies, studies. In the mornings, we go to school, then we go to a coaching center, and in the afternoons, we study at home. The time for extracurricular activities is very limited, especially in the higher grades. Most of the time, a test is scheduled for Monday, so we cannot escape studying even for a single day during the week.
My Best Memories of My Summer Holidays
A student’s best time of the year is during summer holidays. During our summer vacations, we plan a family trip. It is always so much fun to go on the family trip during these holidays. We go on these trips almost always as a family of four, which consists of my father, mother, brother and I, but my cousins also travel with us on occasion. I always have a great time on these trips. We spent six days in Ooty and Mysore last year. It was a pleasure to visit both locations.
I especially loved Ooty. They are home to beautiful gardens and marvelous structures. While there, we enjoyed scrumptious food, went sight-seeing, and spent some quality time with each other. It was an amazing experience. We had a great time, it was the best family trip we’ve ever taken. I also think it was the longest one. This holiday was for six days, which made it more enjoyable. We usually take holidays of just a few days. It was a pleasure to spend time there. My summer holidays will always be attached to these fond memories.
Taking a break from routine is a good idea during the holidays. The holidays are a good time to indulge in our hobbies, meet our old friends, and spend time with extended family members. It is important that we do not neglect our studies during this time. Even during our holidays, we must devote some time to studying.
Essay on How I Spent My Holiday:
During my holiday, I decided to take a trip to the beach with my family. We had been planning this vacation for months and we were all excited about spending some quality time together. As soon as we reached our destination, we were greeted by the warm sea breeze and the sound of crashing waves.
We spent most of our days at the beach, basking in the sun and playing in the water. It was refreshing to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life and just enjoy nature’s beauty. We also went on long walks along the shoreline, collecting seashells and building sandcastles.
One day, we decided to go snorkeling in a nearby coral reef. It was an unforgettable experience as we got to see a variety of colorful fish and other marine life. We even saw a sea turtle swimming gracefully in the crystal clear waters. It was truly mesmerizing.
In the evenings, we would sit by the beach and watch the sunset while enjoying some delicious seafood. It was a peaceful and relaxing way to end our days. On one particular night, we were lucky enough to witness a pod of dolphins swimming in the distance as the sun set behind them. It was a magical moment that I will never forget.
Apart from spending time at the beach, we also visited some nearby attractions such as a lighthouse and an old fort. It was interesting to learn about the history and culture of the place we were visiting.
On our last day, we went on a boat ride to a small island where we had a barbecue picnic and went swimming in the clear blue waters. It was the perfect way to end our holiday.
Overall, my holiday was everything I could have asked for. I got to spend quality time with my family, relax and unwind, and create unforgettable memories. It was a much-needed break from the daily grind and I am grateful for every moment of it.
During this trip, I also learned the importance of disconnecting from technology and social media. Being at the beach allowed me to fully immerse myself in nature without any distractions. It was refreshing to not constantly check my phone or worry about emails.
I also realized how fortunate I am to have such a loving and supportive family who I can share these experiences with. It made me appreciate the little things in life and reminded me to always make time for loved ones.
In conclusion, my holiday was a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and quality time with family. I returned home feeling recharged and rejuvenated, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. This trip will forever hold a special place in my heart and I am already looking forward to planning our next family vacation.
So, it is essential to take breaks from our busy lives and spend time with loved ones in order to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Vacations are an important part of our lives. They give us a break from the monotonous routine and allow us to relax, rejuvenate and spend quality time with our loved ones. In this essay, I will be sharing my experience of a recent vacation that I took with my family.
Planning for the Vacation
It was almost the end of another hectic year and my family and I were looking forward to a much-needed vacation. We wanted to go somewhere away from the hustle-bustle of city life and get close to nature. After considering various destinations, we finally settled on a beach resort in Bali, Indonesia.
We started planning for the trip months in advance as we wanted everything to be perfect. From booking flights and accommodation to researching about the local attractions and food, we left no stone unturned in making sure that our vacation would be a memorable one.

From decorating our Christmas tree with cherished ornaments to baking gingerbread cookies that fill the house with their sweet aroma, every activity brings us closer. On Christmas Eve, we huddle around the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate, and reminiscing about holidays past. The joy of gift-giving, especially seeing the gleam in my little cousin’s eyes, is simply unmatched.
Beyond my family's traditions, Christmas also symbolizes a broader message of kindness and love. Our community's annual food drive reminds me of the importance of giving back and spreading joy beyond our immediate circle. This collective spirit of generosity is what makes Christmas an unforgettable holiday each year.

The vastness of the canyon, the myriad colors of the rock formations, and the thrill of rafting down the Colorado River left us all in awe. It needs periods of rest to assimilate information, make connections, and generate creative ideas. Holidays provide this much-needed break, allowing students to return to their studies refreshed and with a renewed focus.
Learning Beyond Academics
Holidays also offer opportunities for learning beyond the confines of the classroom. Rest and Recuperation

Contrary to the common belief that holidays are a time of idleness, they can actually be a period of increased creativity and productivity. The change of pace and environment can stimulate new ideas and perspectives. Furthermore, the relaxation and rest during holidays can lead to increased energy and motivation when students return to their academic work.

Holidays often involve social interactions, be it with family, friends, or new acquaintances during a trip. These interactions can help students develop their communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Additionally, holidays can also be a time for self-reflection and introspection, aiding in personal growth and emotional maturity.
In conclusion, holidays are not just a break from academic work but a crucial aspect of a student’s life. They offer opportunities for rest, learning, skill development, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
